We are searching for a Manager, Clinical Case Management – Health Plan Case Management - someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position, you’ll manage daily clinical and personnel activities and to provide analytics assessments to predict, monitor, and actions to mitigate financial claim expense. You’ll also, participate and coordinate the delivery of high quality, family centered and developmentally appropriate patient care at the unit level.

Responsibilities :

  • Maintains clinical competency of self and direct professional reports by ensuring proficiency in psychosocial and environmental assessment and use of family-centered care
  • Ensures staffing needs of the unit are adequately met.  Supports staff in the development of their schedules and monitors productivity and quality service delivery. Maintains final decision-making processes for hiring new employees to unit
  • Oversees the daily operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and state regulators and accrediting standards
  • Utilizes an inter-disciplinary approach to coach and develop unit- based staff to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care in a safe environment.  Assists in developing staff along the continuum
  • Develops and manages budgets.  Reviews current year budget and actual expenditures.  Reviews strategic plan for desired direction and  focus.  Develops cost center budget projections.  Submits individual cost center budget to Director.  Monitor budget expenses throughout the year
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills with health care team and works to eliminate communication barriers.  Serves as a liaison between physicians, families, nursing staff and ancillary departments
  • Supports the implementation of unit goals and communication of the IDS strategic plan to staff
  • Facilitates staff participation and participates in Community Events, Collaborative, and unit-based quality initiatives for the purpose of developing and monitoring clinical and financial outcomes that demonstrate excellence


  • Current Licensure by the Texas Board of Nurses (RN) or Texas Board of Social Work (LSW)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Social Work
  • Certification by the Commission for Case Manager (CCM), Certification in Managed Care Nursing (CMCN), or Certified Professional in Healthcare Management (CPHM)
  • Three (3) years of clinical experience
  • Two (2) years health plan or management experience

  • Applicant will have several months of training onsite before having flexibility to start work day from home.
