About Texas Children's HospitalScheduled to open in 2017, Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands is a 548,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art free-standing pediatric hospital designed, equipped and staffed exclusively to treat children and adolescents in The Woodlands and counties throughout Greater North Houston such as Montgomery, Walker, Grimes, Liberty, Harris, Polk, San Jacinto and Hardin counties. Our new facility will include 25 emergency center rooms, 32 acute rooms, 28 critical care rooms, 12 radiology rooms and 4 operating rooms. We are on the hunt for our next Service Coordinator—someone who can thrive in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position you’ll support excellence in clinical practice and the care of patients in accordance with their developmental stages. You will also assist in the daily operations of the service by assisting the Managers in promoting the development of other nursing professionals, demonstrating clinical expertise and implementation of the departmental standards of nursing practice.

Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Nursing A current permit of registration with the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas Two (2) years of Operating room experience Knowledge of nursing functions, basic anatomy and physiology, and surgical procedures Ability to demonstrate and perform generic and unit-based competencies including the specific care of age and diagnosis appropriate patients Ability to demonstrate positive interpersonal skills Ability to utilize time and resources in a cost effective manner Demonstrates flexibility and good verbal and written communication skills Delegation skills Ability to operate various medical/surgical equipment and utilize
