Summary:

We are searching for a Plumber I – someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position, you’ll perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include plumbing and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes. Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in a hospital or clinic environment.

Responsibilities :

 

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs for plumbing and associated systems and equipment to ensure a safe environment and operational reliability according to standards established by management team
  • Perform troubleshooting and problem solving maintenance duties for plumbing and associated systems and equipment according to standards established by management team
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge depth for plumbing and associated systems according to standards established by management team
  • Demonstrate that work product meets the expected criteria
  • Demonstrate accountability for customer service and professional behavior through personal work ethic and teamwork
  • Demonstrate accountability for effective communication skills
  • Demonstrate accountability for management skill sets

Qualifications:

 

 

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years of experience as a plumbing service-related technician
  • Previous Healthcare experience preferred
  • High-rise plumbing systems experience preferred
  • Medical gas systems experience preferred
  • Knowledge of usage of maintenance equipment and diagnostics to facilitate trouble-shooting and repair processes
  • Ability to use maintenance equipment, including hand-held power tools
  • Ability to use computers for building automation and computerized maintenance management systems
  • Ability to resource with others effectively
  • Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate management skills such as planning, coordination, estimating, and scheduling skills
  • Responsibilities will include assignments in spaces requiring safe work practices, compliance with OSHA requirements, effective communication, and customer service skills
