We are searching for a Creative Specialist (Graphic Designer) - someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position, you’ll create visually appealing, engaging and technically sound communications predominantly in print media formats, but also including some electronic and place-based media. This will include conceptualizing, art directing, executing and scheduling on all assigned projects.

  • Creates visually appealing, engaging and technically sound communications to support departments and initiatives within the organization
  • Leads conceptual development and execution of creative projects (partnered with a designated copywriter), including brochures, advertising, newsletters, signage, tradeshow displays, internal communications and other collateral, while maintaining brand identity
  • Executes projects by designing, illustrating and/or photo art directing and overseeing print production details, maintaining an exceptional standard of quality, and conceptualizing the creative that is in tune with the strategy and parameters of the project brief
  • Works closely with marketing manager, and/or director, and other team members on appropriate and innovative design concepts and in establishing project timelines
  • Makes timely and quick decisions in order to meet project deadlines, ensuring that projects stay within agreed upon timelines
  • Keeps abreast of the latest industry, style and graphic technologies and trends
  • Reviews, evaluates and recommends hardware/software/systems improvements while leveraging technology where applicable to improve workflow and reduce costs
  • Coordinates with IS Mac specialist to facilitate upgrades, or repairs, of equipment and software, and coordinates with creative manager to make sure all necessary design tools and supplies are accessible
  • Researches and implements design and marketing communication best practices
  • Coordinate bids with Materials Management, work with vendors on printing, and supervise inventory control on location and off location
  • Reviews on a daily basis the inventory on site and on weekly basis review inventory off site
  • Conducts weekly production meetings to ensure all material is up-to-date and re-order thresholds met





  • Bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design, illustration or related field (4 years of related work experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s Degree)
  • Five (5) years of experience as a graphic designer, illustrator or art director preferred
  • Master’s degree in design/communications field preferred
