We are searching for a Clerical Assistant (Volunteer Services) - someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position, you’ll provide weekend clerical support to the Volunteer Services staff to help meet the fundamental needs of Hospital patients, families, volunteers, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities :

  • Performs essential clerical functions
  • Answers telephones and handles each call appropriately and in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintains all information required for volunteer information sessions
  • Assists staff and volunteers in departmental procedures
  • Assists new volunteers with orientation of office, ensuring volunteers are introduced to staff and other volunteers
  • Maintains orientation and training packets in preparation for new volunteers, to ensure that there are no shortages for weekend information sessions
  • Assists all volunteers with their questions and/or needs appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Performs other essential functions
  • Assists patients, families, visitors and staff with their questions and/or needs appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Inputs volunteer records to ensure appropriate record-keeping of volunteer hours



  • High school diploma 
  • Experience working with volunteers preferred
