Summary:

We are searching for an EMR Trainer - someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position you will design, develop and deliver Epic training for end users and super users. You will act as a liaison between providers, clinical staff, and users of the electronic medical record (EMR) while assuring that optimal usage is occurring. Lastly, you will be responsible for providing front line support/training for the caregivers and is a resource for input with policies associated with the job’s purpose and essential responsibilities

Responsibilities :

  • Conducts management and staff training programs to provide an effective and interactive learning environment as needed to meet the organizational goals and objectives 
  • Facilitates or co-facilitates customized training, team building and development programs for all Epic users 
  • Coordinates dates and times for customized programs according to co-facilitators, departmental and team schedules 
  • Participates in all End User Trainer, Super User, and End User training as available 
  • Participates in Education Team Meeting and Development Planning 
  • Completes assigned team projects and assignments completely, accurately and on time 
  • Provides real time training for physicians and other care providers, at their side, who utilize EPIC to document patient information 
  • Assists in updating training plans, utilizing adult learning principles, to include a variety of education strategies to accommodate a diverse population of learners 
  • Assists providers in the use of the electronic records 
  • Trains physicians, residents and staff on the electronic medical record in the assigned departments

 

 

 



Qualifications:

  • High school or GED 
  • Five (5) years of experience teaching adult programs or related work experience particularly in an Epic EMR environment 
  • Bachelor’s degree will substitute four (4) years of work experience 
  • Knowledge of Epic applications is required 
  • Knowledge of various training methodologies is required for completely satisfactory performance in this job

***Knowledge of Epic Captivate Modules as well as eLearning module development is highly preferred.
