Summary:

We are searching for a Simulation Center Systems Specialist – someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position, you will provide expert production support for the Simulation Center as well as simulation classroom facilitation and simulator mannequin maintenance and repair for technology-related training.

Responsibilities :

  • Identify innovative ways to integrate simulation technology into clinical and medical education
  • Contribute to the development of effective policy and procedure as well as processes to support efficient center operations
  • Make recommendations for center operating and capital budgets
  • Maintain current knowledge and skill in simulation technology
  • Participate in vendor training and updates
  • Serve as vendor point of contact for maintenance and repair needs
  • Assist in simulation set-up, role play, prop securement and arrangement, and other theatrics to effectively simulate the reality of the health care environment
  • Consult with center staff and each new faculty/SME user of the center on the conceptualization, design, development, and implementation of scenarios/simulations with a focus on the total production requirements of the session
  • Effectively orchestrate the desired simulation effect through camera, AV, simulator, and IT integration
  • Maintain records of center utilization
  • Establish/maintain systems that effectively capture, store and enable easy access, playback and report generation around client performance and satisfaction with the simulation experience

 

 



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, biomedical instrumentation or other related field
  • Three (3) years of experience in either simulation, biomedical, IT, or AV services experience
  • Four (4) additional years of experience may be considered as a substitute for the Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of current simulation technology, AV and camera production technology, IT business practices and computing systems, interfaces, and hospital standard hardware and software as well as a familiarity with applicable operating systems used by the hospital
