Summary:

We are searching for a Certified Clinical Supervisor—someone who works well in a fast-paced primary care setting. In this position you’ll supervise and direct clinical staff and gather information, asses and provide direct care to patients. We need someone who considers developmental age in approach to and preparation of patients.

Responsibilities :

  • Supervises staff
  • Assist with the collection of patient/family data
  • Provides general patient care
  • Administers medication
  • Assists with education of patient/family
  • Coordinates referrals
  • Triages patients
  • Collects Specimens and Performs Laboratory Test


Qualifications:

  • High School graduate, GED or equivalent
  • Graduation from an accredited school of medical assisting or school of licensed vocational nursing
  • LVNs: Current license/permit to practice vocational nursing in the State of Texas
  • CMA’s: Certification as a certified medical assistant (CMA); or registered medical assistant (RMA); or national certified medical assistant (NCMA); or certified clinical medical assistant (CCMA); or national registered certified medical assistant (NRCMA)
  • Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support for health care providers
  • One (1) year clinical experience
  • One (1) year supervisory experience is preferred
  • Fundamental knowledge of pediatric assessment and treatment
  • Knowledge of related OSHA, CLIA and JCAHO guidelines and requirements, general office tasks, confidentiality and filing system
  • Ability to use thermometer, scales, sphygmomanometer/stethoscope, scalp vein needles, hearing/vision screening equipment, pulse oximetry, typanometer, basic laboratory, i.e., microscope, centrifuge, hematology analyzer, and specimen collection
  • Proficiency with treatments such as nebulizer, ear irrigation, and dressing changes
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to act in a professional manner, to type, to file, to use multi-line telephone, computer, fax, copier and adding machine
