Summary:

We are searching for a Risk Management Analyst – someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position, you will develop statistical and qualitative Risk Management reports reflecting historical trends addressing the professional and general claims management process, and to enhance the process of data aggregation, evaluation and distribution of reports.

Responsibilities :

  • Develops reports, including dashboards and narratives, of current/historical financial claims activity and trends for presentation to upper level management, Board of Trustees, Insurance Company board, insurance underwriters and hospital committees as requested by the Director of Risk Management
  • Manages the reporting of the professional and general liability claims activity on a monthly basis to appropriate hospital committees, actuaries and auditors as reviewed and approved by the Director of Risk Management
  • Manages the reporting of the D&O and Employment Practices Liability claims activity on a biannual basis to insurer and on a regular basis to the Risk Management and Insurance Committee as reviewed and approved by the Directors of Risk Management and Legal
  • Manages the primary and excess insurance policies as reviewed and approved by the Director of Risk Management
  • Provide leadership and/or support for benchmarking efforts with other institutions
  • Submits completed applications from staff members to the insurance broker for processing with the Secretary of State of Texas
  • Routinely updates the Risk Management website with current information and documents. Inspects the department website for any broken links and /or out-of-date information
  • Facilitate the implementation and technical support of browser-based software utilized for Risk Management and Safety Management
  • Prepares and completes requisitions for payment of insurance lines for D&O, Managed Care Errors & Omissions, Cyber, Terrorism, Storage Tank, Security Guard Liability and other lines as needed


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (or at least 10 years of related work experience in lieu of high school diploma)
  • Seven (7) years of database experience with specific emphasis on networking, data compilation and analysis
  • Knowledge of risk and safety management functions and an in-depth knowledge of the web-based software utilized by each department
