We are searching for an Orthodontic Lab Assistant I – someone who works well in a fast-paced orthodontic lab setting in a hospital clinic. In this position, you’ll provide lab assistance in making models in a manner developmentally appropriate for the ages of patients served (0-18 years) and adults as necessary.

Responsibilities :

 Primarily responsible for Orthodontics Lab Duties.

  • Makes NAMS, surgical splints, retainers, expanders, in conjunction with the orthodontist
  • Prepares patients’ records by inputting them into dolphin imaging, renders and exports pano and cephalometric xrays from

    ICAT software and does preliminary cephalometric tracing

    Places bands in impressions

    Pours up models for appliances and study models

    Trims study models

    Orders and stocks dental clinic supplies as needed and organizes dental treatment rooms daily.

    Scans models



  • High school diploma or GED
  • Registration Dental Assistant (RDA) issued by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners
  • One (1) year of experience in an Orthodontic care setting
  • Knowledge of orthodontic dental procedures
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to use dental equipment, including chairs, carts, amalgamating, curing lights and OTC sterilizer
  • Ability to work with patients with special needs
