We are looking for an Orthopedic Technician or Casting Tech to work in the main campus of our hospital in a very busy Orthopedic Clinic that sees 140-150 patients a day. 


You must have experience with casting and working directly with patients in this type of setting. Our next Senior Orthopedic Technician will be someone who can thrive in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position you’ll provide orthopedic support services to patients presenting to the emergency center with orthopedic conditions.


Candidates with certification as an Orthopedic Technician will be preferred.

Responsibilities :

  • This person will spend a minimum of 90% of clinical time providing direct, face-to-face patient care in the application of casts/splints and performance of basic hardware maintenance, as directed by a physician or registered nurse.
  • Instructing patients and families in care of immobilization materials.
  • Maintaining equipment and supply inventory, monitoring related expenses and prioritizing daily work load within assigned work area.
  • Work with physicians, physician assistants, registered nurses, and medical assistants to meet the needs of each patient and family by acting as a flexible, hands-on member of our care team
  • Engaging in the patient’s visit from Check-In to Check-Out to create the best outcomes and experience

  • A high school diploma and one to two years of previous experience; ideally as an Orthopedic Technician.
  • Completion of a Certificate Program or an Associate's degree in Orthopedic Technology.


  • This role must have the certification and/or experience of being an Orthopedic Technician for a medical facility.
