Summary:

We are searching for a Health Education Nurse - someone who works well in a fast-paced primary care setting. In this position, you’ll work together with the Manager with implementation of the Immunization Project goals, with specific responsibility of the education component.

Responsibilities :

  • Performs Immunization Outreach to Providers in the greater Houston area.
  • Immunization Health Education
  • Coordinates with clinic staff to design an intervention, providing advice, hands-on training and support.
  • Conducts follow-up assessment to measure success of intervention at 3 months, 6 months and annually at the individual practice level for the community.
  • Updates the Immunization provider database for greater Houston area within one month of start date, in conjunction with registry outreach team.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing.
  • Current licensure with the Board of Nurse Examiners (RN for the State of Texas)
  • Three (3) years of nursing experience is required, preferably in childhood immunizations.
  • A Master’s degree in Public Health is preferred.
