We are searching for a Supervisor of Central Distribution – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll supervise departmental personnel and to control departmental activities for the shift.

Responsibilities :

  • Supervises daily activities in the flow of supplies, and equipment throughout the Hospital facilities
  • Ensures appropriate staffing levels for a designated shift, including approving scheduled and unscheduled Paid Time Off (PTO) requests and preparing area-specific schedule(s) as necessary
  • Ensures that new-hire and temporary staff completes departmental orientation
  • Initiates and documents corrective action in a timely manner where appropriate with employees on a specific shift
  • Schedules equipment in-services, to include system transactions, equipment function checks, and preventative maintenance due dates, and ensures that learning has taken place by giving post instructional tests as documented by the manager on a quarterly basis
  • Meets, at least monthly, with designated staff for the purpose of providing pertinent information and in-service training, and documenting staff attendance
  • Maintains a communication log of operations during their shift to be forwarded to the next-shift supervisor
  • Supervises the daily activities of direct issue of supplies, and filling requisitions in a timely fashion as recorded by system transactions
  • Participates as a team member or leader on department initiatives, taking care to be in attendance and on- time for all meetings
  • Identifies maintenance issues and scheduled repairs with Plant Engineering


  • Knowledge of medical inventory and distribution operations.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail, manage time effectively, communicate effectively, be organized, to operate: a computer; material handling equipment. Must be able to communicate clearly and legibly in writing.
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 5 years of supply chain experience
  • 1 year of lead or supervisory experience
