Opened in 2017, Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands is a 548,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art free-standing pediatric hospital designed, equipped and staffed exclusively to treat children and adolescents in The Woodlands and counties throughout Greater North Houston such as Montgomery, Walker, Grimes, Liberty, Harris, Polk, San Jacinto and Hardin counties. Summary:

We are searching for a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll manage and promote activities appropriate to ensure the medication use process. You will serve as a mentor to pharmacists who provide services to the medical specialty and assist in direct patient care activities to promote optimal drug therapy and resolve medication use problems in a manner developmentally appropriate for the ages of patients served (0-adult).

Responsibilities :

  • Utilizes practice knowledge and skills to serve as Clinical Practitioner
  • Ensures the medication use process
  • Participates in the education of parents/patients, caregivers, pharmacists, and pharmacy residents and students
  • Performs other essential functions


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
  • RPH - Pharmacist in Texas
  • 1 year of PGY1 ASHP-accredited pharmacy practice residency
  • PGY2 specialty residency and four years of experience in a pediatric inpatient hospital pharmacy setting with clinical responsibilities preferred
