Summary:

We are searching for a Clinical Supervisor– someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll supervise and direct clinical staff and gather information, asses and provide direct care to patients. We need someone who considers developmental age in approach to and preparation of patients.

Responsibilities :

  • Supervises staff
  • Assists with the collection of patient/family data
  • Provides general patient care
  • Administers medication
  • Assists with the education of patient/family
  • Coordinates referrals
  • Triages patients


Qualifications:

  • High school graduate, GED or equivalent
  • Graduation from an accredited school of medical assisting, school of licensed vocational nursing, or graduation from an emergency medical technician program
  • Current license/permit to practice vocational nursing in the State of Texas
  • Certification as a certified medical assistant (CMA); or registered medical assistant (RMA), national certified medical assistant (NCMA), certified clinical medical assistant (CCMA), or national registered certified medical assistant (NRCMA)
  • Emergency Medical Techn Texas Department of State Health Services, EMT-B - Emergency Medical Techn-Basic Texas Department of State Health Services, EMT-I - Emergency Medical Techn-Interm Texas Department of State Health Services, EMT-P - Emergency Medical Techn-Parame Texas Department of State Health Services, or LIC PAR - Lic-Paramedic Texas Department of State Health Services
  • Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support for health care providers
  • One (1) year of clinical experience
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience is preferred
  • Fundamental knowledge of pediatric assessment and treatment
  • Knowledge of related OSHA, CLIA and JCAHO guidelines and requirements, general office tasks, confidentiality, and filing system
  • Ability to use a thermometer, scale, sphygmomanometer/stethoscope, scalp vein needle, hearing/vision screening equipment, pulse oximetry, typanometer, basic laboratory, microscope, centrifuge, hematology analyzer, and specimen collection
  • Proficiency with treatments such as a nebulizer, ear irrigation, and dressing changes
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to act in a professional manner, type, file, use a multi-line telephone, computer, fax, copier, and adding machine
