We are searching for an EMR Informatics Specialist – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will act as a liaison between providers, clinical staff, and users of the electronic medical record (EMR) while assuring that optimal usage is occurring.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide real-time training for physicians and other care providers who utilize EPIC to document patient information
  • Be available in the patient care areas to ensure physicians and care givers are knowledgeable and proficient with EPIC modules
  • Assist in updating training plans, utilizing adult learn principles, and including a variety of education strategies
  • Train physicians, residents, and staff on the electronic medical record and assist providers as needed
  • Provide troubleshooting and problem-solving for documentation completion problems encountered in daily processes
  • Provide technical expertise and coverage for EPIC modules
  • Liaise between EMR applications and providers and assist with usage and functionality
  • Utilize EPIC reports to identify providers who can benefit from additional coaching and ensure that the applications are being used efficiently and effectively
  • Manage tasks such as creating new users or resetting passwords in the EMR as needed


  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years’ experience teaching adult programs or related health care work experience
  • Associate’s degree can substitute for 2 years’ experience
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred
