Summary:
We are searching for a Quality Improvement/Education Coordinator— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will work at the direction of leadership, assisting with the implementation of educational programs. This role will respond to any information needs of the department as they relate to quality management and patient safety. Attention to detail is necessary to identify problems through review and data analysis.

Responsibilities :
Assists leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of efficient and effective new hire orientation, education, and competency programs
Develops indicators of service quality and monitors performance against these indicators
Assists Practice Managers and/or Clinical Supervisors in the development of individualized training programs for new employees based on results of initial competency assessment and experience
Coordinates annual review and updates to plan for quality improvement activities
Performs medical chart extraction and conducts appropriate review of selected data sets, ensuring accuracy, quality, and relevance of information
Evaluates the quality of the information targeted for extraction utilizing knowledge of operational processes, clinical standards for care, and experience
Assists Quality Manager and Directors of Regional Operations in working with tools and educational support for quality and other related activities.
Qualifications:
Diploma or associate’s degree in nursing
Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
RN – Licensed Registered Nurses from the State of Texas or LVN -Licensed Vocational Nurses from the State of Texas
2 years of clinical RN experience or 5 years of LVN clinical experience
