Summary:

We are searching for a Senior EMR Educator – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting.

Training programs for assigned patient areas. The primary focus of this position will be to enhance personal/professional development of employees to achieve organizational goals, work with leaders to ensure that the training strategy and delivery meet requirements, and develop and test the EPIC training environment. You will ensure that EPIC is in sync with the production system, investigate processes to understand data and communication flow, and delegate training tasks to assigned EMR members.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop, recommend, and facilitate the training plan for assigned EPIC-related projects, new departmental implementations, enhancements, and optimizations
  • Work with the training manager, AD, and project manager to establish training milestones, deliverable dates, and resources, as well as track and report updates
  • Analyze the audience, scope, and impact to develop recommended training delivery strategy and methodology
  • Develop and oversee in test plans for training scenarios and new functionality in the training environment to ensure accuracy and synchronization with documentation
  • Ensure the delivery of completed, accurate assignments and guarantee documentation references are published in EPIC
  • Work closely with production support to understand requirement work flows and training deliverables
  • Participate in testing so that the training environment stays in sync with production and reflects the detail requirement specifications for new EPIC enhancements, optimizations, and upgrades
  • Collaborate with BSAs, production support, and identified operational end users/leadership to identify and address training needs from the end user community
  • Develop, review, and approve documentation for advanced level efficiencies and trainers/BSAs
  • Facilitate training courses as needed to back up EMR educators and trainers
  • Participate in the credentialing for end user trainer, super user, and BSAs, as well as participate in education team meetings and development planning


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, human resources, health care, or related field
  • EPIC certification
  • 5 years’ experience teaching adult programs or related (particularly for the EPIC EMR environment)
