Summary:

We are searching for an Academic Coordinator - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and supporting all academic functions for department faculty.  In this position, you will assist practice administrator and administrative supervisor with Chief’s priorities for the department.

Responsibilities :

  • Maintains faculty biographies posted on the external website
  • Maintains department records of faculty (i.e., curriculum vitae, licensures, CMEs) for credentialing and licensure
  • Collaborate with faculty in the preparation of abstracts, posters, manuscripts, book chapters, etc
  • Assists Administrative Supervisor and/or Practice Administrator with department priorities as identified by the Chief of Service
  • Assists Practice Administrator with completion of monthly Physician Time Studies for Government Reporting
  • Assists Administrative Supervisor and/or Practice Administrator with scheduling, travel arrangements, construction of itinerary, and reimbursements
  • Maintains department calendar of celebrations to ensure high department morale (birthdays, holiday party, departmental social events, etc.)


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Five (5) years of experience in coordinating or supporting academic functions
  • Knowledge of department academic goals and activities
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Knowledgeable of SharePoint software, and audience response software
  • In depth knowledge of MS Office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint
