Summary:

We are searching for a Decision Support Analyst — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this role, you'll assist the CFO and director in developing and maintaining financial projections. This role will oversee the organization's performance and conducts financial and statistical analysis of Health Plan activities for presentation to all levels of authority, ranging from the managers to the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities :

  • Analyzes prior year data to develop membership, revenue, and medical expense budgets, and to test reasonableness of all budget assumptions
  • Develops a timeline and work plan for completing annual operating budget and coordinates with IDS Financial Planning department to ensure effective integration of the budget process with IDS’s needs
  • Coordinates data analysis related to the rate-setting process with Health and Human Services Commission while following the State’s timeline and as observed by the Director
  • Coordinates the process for renewing the organization's reinsurance policy and provides analysis and recommendations for the renewals
  • Develops performance goals for incentive programs and works to obtain approval of those programs in accordance with levels of authority and companies’ policies and procedures
  • Monitors reconciliation documentations with the Finance and Information Systems department
  • Performs special projects and analysis related to financial planning, dependent on the changing needs of the business


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting
  • Master’s degree in health administration or business administration preferred
  • 2 years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Indirect/technical supervisory experience preferred
  • Insurance or healthcare industry experience preferred
