We are searching for an Accountant Assistant III - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll assist management in transactions processing and all the accumulation of supporting documentation in addition to analyzing data from accounting information systems.

Responsibilities :

  • Organize and prepare data to be recorded into the Human Resources/Payroll system
  • Key data into the appropriate system and ensure that the information is correctly coded
  • Review payroll audit reports, direct deposit, garnishment, and general deduction data
  • Verify the accuracy of data for appropriate coding prior to input in the HR/PR system
  • Recommend resolutions for non-compliance to supervisor based upon review
  • Monitor garnishments to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws, including bankruptcies, tax levies, child support, student loans, and wage assignments
  • Ensure the information is delivered to the appropriate individuals and maintain the bond of confidentiality
  • Respond to complex inquiries from customers and provide support and documentation within established response times
  • Review usage of earning codes and other pay roles for accuracy
  • Prepare reconciliations and submit for review and approval within established timelines
  • Verify payroll transactions are reflected on pay vouchers and work diligently to minimize the need for corrections
  • Prepare summaries of assigned transactions and events for audit, management reporting, and other purposes as needed


  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years’ experience in an accounting environment
  • Experience in a health care field is preferred
  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience
