We are searching for a Dental Assistant - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll provide dental assistance in the patient care area in a manner that is developmentally appropriate for the patient.

Responsibilities :

  • Apply sealants and monitor nitrous, coronal polishing, and fluoride application
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments, clean dental carts, and set up instrument trays
  • Prepare materials and assist the dentist during procedures
  • Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs
  • Take and expose dental X-rays as ordered by the dentist
  • Provide post-operative instructions to parents/patients
  • Chart the existing restoration and any missing teeth
  • Place and remove rubber dams and take impressions for casts and models
  • Apply topical anesthetic agents under dentist supervision
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and provide recommendations for improvement as appropriate
  • Attend continuing education workshops, seminars, and in-services
  • Take follow-up appointments
  • Review charts and schedules for the next day’s clinic to ensure all necessary information is available
  • Order and stock dental clinic supplies as needed


  • High school diploma or GED
  • RDA, BLS and NOM certification required
  • 2 years’ experience in a health care setting required
