Summary:

We are searching for a Manager of Coding Compliance — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll effectively manage the coding and auditing process so that the hospital claims are coded in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage and oversee all coding staff and activities
  • Perform/manage audit and review of medical records process to ensure coding accuracy and compliance with regulatory and coding guidelines
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives to meet hospital, departmental, and area goals and strategies
  • Document the performance improvement and measure the success
  • Conduct NCCI edits and medical audit reviews
  • Complete timely performance appraisals for direct reports
  • Report the financial performance on a monthly basis
  • Ensure new staff attends appropriate orientation in a timely manner


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • CCA, CCS, COC, CPC, and RHIA OR CCC-P, CIPC, CPC-A certification required
  • 7 years’ experience coding inpatient and outpatient records using modern systems required
  • Bachelor’s degree will substitute for 4 years’ experience
