Summary:

We are searching for a Certified Pharmacy Technician — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will assist the pharmacist in the preparation, perform activities related to the repackaging and compounding, filling, and delivery of medications, and other tasks associated with dispensing in a manner developmentally appropriate for the ages of patients served (0-adult).

Responsibilities :

  • Processes prescriptions/medication orders and prepares medication
  • Ensures adequate inventory
  • Follows proper distribution/delivery procedures
  • Completes and documents daily and monthly activity checklists including expired drug checking, cleaning assignments, and ordering supplies and forms
  • Communicates with others
  • Performs essential functions in the inpatient dispensing areas, ambulatory care pharmacy, compounding and repackaging, controlled substances area, investigational drug service area, and other pharmacy support functions


Qualifications:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician by the State Board of Texas
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
  • 2 years of pharmacy technician experience
