Summary:

We are searching for an EMR Trainer — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll design, develop, and deliver Epic training for end users and super users. You will act as a liaison between providers, clinical staff, and/or non-clinical users of the electronic medical record while assuring that optimal usage is occurring.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct management and staff training programs to provide an effective and interactive learning environment
  • Facilitate customized training, team building, and development programs for all Epic users
  • Develop quick reference guides, essentials, and tip sheets for trainees
  • Participate in training and education team meetings
  • Provide real-time training for physicians, other care providers, or non-clinical users of the EMR
  • Be available in the patient care areas to ensure that physicians, care givers, or other staff are proficient with Epic modules
  • Utilize Epic reports to identify users who could benefit from additional coaching and contact them to ensure the applications are used efficiently and effectively
  • Create new users and iTrak tickets within the EMR as needed


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5 years’ experience teaching adult programs and/or working with an Epic environment required
  • Bachelor’s degree can substitute for 4 years’ experience
  • Master’s degree can substitute for 2 years’ experience
