We are looking for a Clinical Research Assistant – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will participate in research activities which may include subject recruitment, confirmation of subject eligibility, informed consent process, completion of case report forms, data clarification, IRB preparations and medical record abstraction data collection. The research assistant may also assist physicians with preparing manuscripts, making presentation slides and posters, conducting literature reviews, updating study databases, and taking photographs in a clinical and operative setting. Manuscript preparation may include writing, referencing, editing, basic medical illustrating, statistical analysis, creating tables and charts, and preparing submissions for publication.

Responsibilities :

  • Participates in data collection for research projects
  • Coordinates all aspects associated with assigned projects
  • Conducts research literature searches for staff and assigned leads
  • Completes data collection and data entry activities
  • Assists with professional presentation development department and assigned leads


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1 year of research experience preferred
  • Knowledge of project implementation and data collection and analysis
  • Experience with Macintosh and PC computers and software, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, and the Internet also preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate strong organizational skills, utilize word processing, spreadsheet, graphics and statistical software
  • Knowledge of the following database search engines may be needed: PubMed, Medline, CINAHL, Cochrane, EMBASE, Nursing Consult, AHRQ, and other EBP websites
  • Reliability and flexibility to meet pre-determined deadlines is essential, as well as the ability to interact affably with physicians, residents, and staff
