We are looking for a Manager of Clinical Informatics – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible for the daily operations and personnel activities of the Clinical Informatics Department and others within the Clinical Business Office. You will act as the service owner for specified applications governed within the Clinical Informatics Department portfolio by maintaining performance within agreed upon service levels, continuously improving the quality of applications, and collaborating with leaders to implement and optimize services. The ideal candidate for this role would have previous management experience, previous experience with EPIC, and a Masters degree in Informatics

Responsibilities :

  • Leads the planning, implementation, and optimization of multiple, simultaneous complex projects related to Clinical Informatics systems in order to improve clinical effectiveness, efficiency, outcomes, and safety
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with multiple strategic partners, internal customers, and external vendors
  • Supervises assigned staff by planning, coordinating, evaluating, scheduling, directing, delegating, counseling, and motivating employees as necessary for the success of the team
  • Organizes and leads efforts to analyze, document, and re-design clinical workflows relative to technology implementation and optimization
  • Conducts, directs, and or participates in house-wide special projects as identified by departmental leaders
  • Collaborates with end users, operational leaders, and key stakeholders to investigate complex problems, provide innovative strategies, and implement identified solutions


  • 8 years’ clinical experience in nursing, respiratory care, occupational/physical therapy or pharmacy required, OR
  • 5 years’ hospital information systems selection, implementation and support experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a clinical specialty or clinical informatics field required
  • Masters degree is preferred
  • RN, NP, RCP, OT, PT, RPH, or RT certification required
  • Knowledge of Epic healthcare applications, performance improvement methodology, and principles of human resource management required
  • Prior leadership experience strongly preferred
