We are searching for a Medical Staff Coordinator — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will coordinate administrative support and provide resources needed by and for the medical staff, hospital IDS, and various regulatory agencies relative to the organized medical staff and its functions.

Responsibilities :

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • Certified Professional Medical Service Management by National Association Medical Staff Services
  • Certified Provider Credential Specialist by National Association Medical Staff Services
  • 2 years of administrative, secretarial, or customer service experience
  • Knowledge of hospital functions and the organized medical staff as a self-governed entity, preferably from medical staff office experience and/or certification, and medical terminology
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards as applicable to credentialing and privileging preferred
  • Ability to skillfully organize; to communicate well, both verbally and in writing; and exhibit good interpersonal skills
  • Must be dedicated, reliable, self-motivated, tactful, and detail oriented
  • Must maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Must be able to operate standard office equipment and a PC or the equivalent
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in use of word processing, e-mail, and spreadsheet applications in a Windows environment, as well as proficiency in use of credentialing/privileging database systems


  • Coordinates credentialing and privileging
  • Coordinates continuing medical education activities
  • Coordinates the graduate medical education process
  • Coordinates meetings
  • Coordinates peer review process
  • Medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations, and policies and procedures
  • Maintains data systems integrity
  • Performs miscellaneous administrative support
