We are looking for a Director of Revenue Cycle Operations – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible for implementing, upgrading and maintaining the organization’s billing function and revenue cycle operations. You will also provide oversight of all hospital accounts receivable functions and reporting systems that provide management with the most current information needed to efficiently manage the accounts receivable process. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing the patient accounting medical audit and charge master function. You must have experience in Revenue Cycle system training to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities :

  • Managed Revenue Cycle system updates within IS controls
  • Training and Education for Revenue Cycle systems
  • Successfully manages the implementation and maintenance of the patient accounts hospital billing system functions while supporting other Revenue Cycle systems changes and upgrades in cooperation with Information Systems representatives.
  • Oversees the Charge Master, the electronic billing and remittance posting for all Revenue Cycle functions while ensuring compliance with established local, state and federal rules and regulations. Demonstrates strong knowledge of Charge Master strategies and rate setting. Responsible for ensuring quality customer service to patient families.
  • Works with Information Systems team and outside vendors to ensure that there is reconciliation of electronic claims submission, payment posting, and online software to ensure vendor receives appropriate billing information.
  • Works closely with Senior Vice President of Revenue Cycle and Directors reporting to the Senior Vice President of Revenue Cycle to develop, implement and maintain a formal training program for the Patient Accounts staff.
  • Participates in the Revenue Cycle Advisory Committee, the Pricing Strategy Committee and other IDS/Hospital and Department committees as assigned to help evaluate opportunities for Revenue Cycle improvements and to provide feedback and reporting to management as needed.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field required
  • 7 years' experience in a healthcare or business office / patient accounts
  • 3 years formal supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of the revenue cycle including patient registration, billing requirements, collection processes/regulations, managed care reimbursements, hospital patient accounting systems, budgeting, and knowledge of the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) processes
  • Must have experience of personal computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheet and database software
  • Knowledge of the Epic HIS product ID preferred
  • Epic Certified in Revenue Cycle modules preferred
  • Ability to manage projects, processes and people, effectively communicate verbally and in writing, interpret managed care contracts, conduct meetings, operate a personal computer, and promote exceptional customer service
