Summary:

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will initiate and coordinate a variety of duties as they relate to the successful operations of various departments within our healthcare organization. You’ll function as administrative liaison and provide support to other leadership and staff. You’ll also manage and maintain the daily operations of the office, ensuring that department deadlines are met in a timely and professional manner. You’ll also perform diversified administrative and secretarial functions. This position is located in a lab.

Responsibilities :

  • Acts as administrative liaison to the director or other leaders
  • Composes, formats, and proofreads a variety of materials including typewritten correspondence, memoranda, and various reports as instructed
  • Accurately prepares appropriate requisitions and obtains signatures and approvals for the purchase requests, contract renewals, purchase orders or any internal/external services.
  • Opens and reviews incoming mail as requested
  • Maintains departmental organizational charts, departmental forms department intranet website and, or policy and procedures
  • Serves as timekeeper for the department
  • Takes an active role in coordinating all department training, education meetings, and in-services with the support of the management team
  • Plans and organizes luncheons and special events
  • Obtains signatures for employee documents, access forms, key requests, and check requests as needed


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3 years’ of administrative support required
