We are searching for an Assistant Director of Pathology — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will ensure high-quality pathology laboratory services required to achieve timely, cost-effective, quality patient care through the coordination and supervision of daily operations. You will work collaboratively with the assistant directors.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide leadership for assessment, planning, integration, implementation, and support
  • Participate in the development of departmental and institutional strategic planning and develop and maintain specifications for assigned area of responsibility
  • Coordinate efforts of operational and technical teams developing and implementing policies, quality programs and compliance assessment tools
  • Maintain knowledge of organizational strategy as it pertains to the area of responsibility and participate in institutional committees and informs departmental leadership and staff regarding institutional plans and/or decisions related to changes in policy, infrastructure, systems, that impact the area of responsibility
  • Review and update policies and procedures to assure operational integrity
  • Consult with pathology department personnel, and other hospital staff on problems and operations


  • Bachelor’s degree in medical technology and/or clinical science required
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical clinical laboratory experience and supervisory experience
  • MT-ASCP, MLS-ASCP, CLSP-NCA, MB-ASCP, MP-ASCP, BB-ASCP, C0ASP, H-ASCP, or M-ASCP certification required
