Summary:

We are searching for an Assistant Director Corporate Compliance – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will support the Director of Compliance and Privacy in providing legal analysis and guidance related to corporate compliance matters. You will be responsible for major corporate compliance functions, including 1) conflicts of interests; 2) confidential hotline; 3) excluded provider screening; 4) physician compensation arrangements; 5) vendor management; 6) fraud, waste, and abuse; and 7) training and education.

Responsibilities :

  • Provides guidance on corporate compliance matters to management, executives, and medical staff
  • Coordinates board and executive reporting
  • Oversees the compliance hotline and serves as the compliance investigation specialist for all hotline complaints
  • Actively participates in hospital and medical staff committee meetings and interdisciplinary teams
  • Participates in departmental activities as assigned
  • Completes timely performance appraisals for direct report
  • Assures that new staff attends departmental orientation within 30 days of employment
  • Reports financial performance on a monthly basis
  • Develops and modifies job descriptions as necessary
  • Prepares and submits annual capital and operating budgets
  • Conducts appropriate investigations and follows-up on individual and departmental complaints and issues
  • Submits performance planning documents, ongoing planning materials, and action plan and department goals


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or legal field required
  • Master’s degree OR Juris Doctor Degree (JD) in business, healthcare or legal field preferred
  • 5 years’ experience business, healthcare, legal and/or corporate compliance experience
  • CPC - Cert-Cert Professional Coder granted by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) preferred
  • CCS - Cert-Cert Coding Specialist granted by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred
  • CHC - Certified in Healthcare Compliance granted by the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) preferred
