We are searching for a Staffing/Attendance Assistant — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will assist in proactively maintaining accurate time and attendance reports for the assigned nursing units and liaise between the nursing department and hospital payroll. You will also assist in maintaining adequate staffing levels for the nursing unit.


Experience with Kronos or other time keeping systems is a plus!

Responsibilities :

  • Reconcile each individual employee’s time and ensure the accuracy of their employee status
  • Ensure changes are made if unit managers have not input employee information
  • Enter manual changes for pay codes that do not automatically transfer
  • Reconcile punch times for employees participating in the exempt overtime incentive program
  • Ensure accurate orientation hours are paid in conjunction with HR
  • Investigate discrepancies in employee time, agency invoices, and time reports
  • Compile and distribute travel agency reports
  • Verify hours of temporary environmental services agency employees
  • Communicate with nursing leaders, IS, and unit leadership effectively
  • Act as a resource for nursing units by helping departments and units enter schedule changes as needed
  • Coordinate the reservation and maintenance of BLS mannequins for the nursing department


  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Payroll/staffing experience preferred
