We are searching for a Department Secretary — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll provide secretarial and office services support for the department.

Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate patient rooms
  • Answer telephones in a professional manner and coordinate message taking with 100% accuracy
  • Develop and maintain a system for tracking and restocking office supply inventory that ensures a constant and adequate supply level
  • Coordinate daily general communication functions including timely pick-up, delivery, email, and courier usage
  • Ensure a general cleanliness of department and perform department-specific customer service functions
  • Prepare confidential minutes and reports, charts, forms, et cetera
  • Initiate and process purchase orders and check requests as needed
  • Coordinate meeting planning and set up
  • Notify department personnel regarding issues and/or changes
  • Validate time and attendance reports



  • High school diploma or required
  • 2 years’ experience as a secretary required (preferably in a healthcare environment)
