Summary:

 

We are searching for a Senior Storage Engineer — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll play a major role in developing business solutions by investigating in processes to understand data and communications flow with individual tasks and transactions for the Integrated Delivery System.

 

Think you’ve got what it takes?

 

Highly prefer the following:

  • Experience delivering Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems (file and object)
  • Hands-on experience on HPE 3PAR storage arrays, HP StoreOnce and Brocade DCX switches
  • Configuring and managing storage pools, CPGs, Virtual volumes & snapshots
  • Designing & implementing SAN connectivity (single & dual chassis) with Fiber channel switches to overcome any single point of failure for all hosts
  • Experience in performance tuning of 3PAR system and storage based replication

 

Experience strongly desired:

  • Tuning virtual volumes
  • Storage and Fabric microcode upgrade activities
  • Configuring SAN Fabric, ideally Brocade and troubleshootingfabric related events
  • Providing analysis and implementation support for NAS Storage solutions along with pre-site
  • inspections, initial implementation, and integration into the environment as required.
  • Provide weekly and monthly operations reports.
  • Experience with Server Virtualization Technologies (VMware, Open Stack, Docker) is highly desirable

 



Responsibilities :

Translate user/business needs into detail requirement specifications

Identify system or application needs

Analyze current business practices, user needs and work flow processes

Facilitate and supports the system installation through the implementation cycle

Establish project governance and facilitates Steering and Work team meetings

Develop, schedule and facilitate test plans for software, network, integration, user acceptance and parallel usage

Prepare and implement procedures for downtime, end-users, production, and help desk

Perform configuration analysis for system design

Coordinate the upgrade schedules with vendors and users across the Integrated Delivery System

Determine, analyze and formulate current practices, user needs and workflow processes, issues and potential solutions

Analyze, aggregate, assimilates and validate data/information.

Coordinate resources assigned to complete projects

Analyze project impacts and dependencies across the Integrated Delivery System



Qualifications:

High school diploma

Eight (8) years of major system design and implementation experience

Familiarity with various operating systems used by Hospital data processing techniques and practices

A working knowledge of a variety of hardware and software environments and of the healthcare industry is also required
