Summary:
We are searching for an Anesthesia Technician for our Radiology Department in The Woodlands — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will assist licensed anesthesia providers in the acquisition, preparation, and application of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia. You will contribute to safe and efficient anesthesia care while providing support in routine and complex surgical cases. Lastly, you will prepare and maintain patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during, and after anesthesia is administered.

Responsibilities :
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Assist anesthesiologist with preparation and placement of neurophysiologic monitors
Prepare age-appropriate anesthesia equipment, monitors, and airways
Set up, maintain and transport specialty devices used in the clinical area and trouble-shoot and correct any monitoring and equipment problems
Inventory and stock anesthesia supply consistent with departmental demands and maintain inventories of properly functioning anesthesia equipment in all designated areas
Provide leadership through appropriate delegation of patient care activities and technical training to staff and new personnel
Qualifications:
Skills & Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Technical diploma
Completion of an anesthesia technician training program approved by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT)
Two (2) years of work experience as an anesthesia technician may substitute for the technical diploma
CERTIFICATION PREFERRED
