Summary:

We are searching for a Quality Improvement Specialist (OB Gyn Specialties)— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll partner with the Quality Medical Director and departmental leadership to achieve high quality, reliable, and cost-effective health care.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and produce reports for performance improvement, safety, guideline utilization, and outcomes for areas of responsibility
• Use statistical techniques and knowledge in the development of measures, sampling methods, and the appropriate representation of data
• Utilize data from benchmark facilities and databases, financial databases, and other internal and external data repositories to identify improvement opportunities
• Act as a consultant for medical staff and departmental staff related to the development of measurements, statistical analysis, and appropriate data presentation to support initiatives intended to achieve breakthrough or incremental process improvement in patient care
• Provide leadership and education regarding JCAHO Standards and CMS Regulation related to performance improvement
• Prepare agendas, reports, and minutes of performance improvement task force meetings/projects without errors
• Act as chairperson/facilitator for committees and task forces as requested and use facilitative leadership skills to assure appropriate agenda and outcomes are achieved
• Collaborate with the quality and outcomes department and medical staff leadership on the development of measures for Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE)
• Collaborate with the quality and outcomes department to assure aligned methodologies and tools are used for quality improvement efforts and attend established monthly quality departmental meetings for education and a house wide view of quality



Qualifications:

MQs:
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• 2 years’ professional clinical experience in the area of clinical expertise

• Quality experience
• OB/Women’s comparable experience
• Project Management knowledge
