Summary:

We are searching for an Assistant Director of Security Services — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing Security Services operations including personnel, electronic systems, access controls, and customer services at our facilities which includes hospitals, research facilities, clinics, health centers, and physician practices. You will ensure that all requirements regarding security, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and customer service are met.

Responsibilities :

  • Plan, direct, and oversee implementation of comprehensive security systems and programs for the protection of patients, families, staff, and facilities at all locations including budget and staff performance
  • Coordinate with Texas Children’s leaders during the planning and development of security programs that address the organizational security climate to ensure positive customer relations
  • Manage Security’s Environment of Care responsibilities through participation in the Security Sub-committee and the Regulatory Readiness Committee
  • Analyze data and prepare reports as required by the committees or director
  • Develop and maintain operational budgets and prepare business case justifications for the growth or replacement of systems and/or personnel
  • Monitor and discuss personnel and financial performance monthly with the director

 



Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, law enforcement or a related field
  • CHPA or PRO PROF preferred
  • Meet all requirements for a Manager License with the TX Dept. of Public Safety Private Security Board (TDPSPSB)
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in law enforcement or commercial/proprietary security operations, including 2 years management/leadership experience
  • Prior experience in managing complex security systems preferred
  • Prior healthcare experience preferred
