We are searching for a Call Center Registered Nurse  (RN) (Contact Center) — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will facilitate Customer Care Contact Center callers' access to the appropriate level of care by assessing needs, offering clinical options, referral to health care providers, services and community resources, through the use of evidence-based protocols. This role will educate the patient/family/caregiver when appropriate regarding immediate and interim care advice and preventive behaviors.

Responsibilities :

  • Utilize appropriate evidence-based assessment, complex interviewing techniques and instruments related to ambulatory care nursing in collecting pertinent patient, family or population-specific data
  • Develop an individualized Telehealth plan for patients seeking care for health promotion or health-related situational problems
  • Identify critical and crisis call situations and de-escalate patient/parent/caregivers to be able to obtain necessary information
  • Demonstrate positive and effective interpersonal skills when dealing with patients, families, peers and other healthcare team members to generate a feeling of trust and caring
  • Prioritize and implement interventions and plans of care in partnership with the patient, family, caregivers and other healthcare professionals in a timely manner
  • Use health teaching methods and approaches appropriate to the situation that recognize the age, gender, race, ethnicity, diversity and cultural norms of the individual patient


  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Or Associates Degree in Nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement 
    Or Technical diploma in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement 
    Or Must be currently enrolled in a nursing bridge program working toward an MSN.
  • Verified BSN-equivalency or a signed agreement is required.
  • Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas is required
  • Current BLS from the American Heart Association is required
  • 2 years of professional nursing experience
  • Knowledge of nursing functions, basic anatomy and physiology, and diagnostic procedures
