Summary:

We are searching for a Senior Interface Programmer/System Analyst — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will design, code, implement and maintain intersystem communications utilizing interface engine strategies based on Health Level Seven (HL7) interface standards in the organization’s Integrated Delivery Systems environment.

Strongly prefer the following:

  • Experience in gathering requirements, designing, developing and implementing HIPAA HL7/X12 transaction interfaces.
  • Strong Microsoft .NET developer skill lset; SQL, C# required and Biztalk preferred.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Solid written and oral communication skills.


Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain interface project plans and coordinates task with application project managers
  • Provide technical consultation and guidance for application system decisions relating to intersystem communication
  • Establish data source and verifies data content with application users, technical teams and vendors
  • Conduct interface testing and prepare test scripts to examine data flow through the interface and interface engine to the receiving system
  • Develop comprehensive interface specifications for each interface
  • Provide emergency support for malfunctioning interfaces as required on a 24/7 basis and perform program revisions to eliminate interface malfunctions
  • Work independently to maintain system interfaces as delegated


Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or healthcare
  • A minimum of 3 years' HL7/X. 12 protocol experience
  • A minimum of 5 years' interface development experience
  • Project management/leadership experience preferred
  • Systems programming background - i.e. UNIX, NT preferred
  • Data communications background - i.e. TCP/IP, RS232 preferred
