We are searching for an Education Coordinator -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will manage interdisciplinary clinical learning and performance improvement initiatives and improve clinical performance with The Center. This role will also manage and train internal staff with multifunctional roles on federal, state, and organizational standards related to the managed care model of providing the full spectrum of healthcare support used in the medical management of members and patients.

Responsibilities :

  • Plans, designs, develops, markets, and implements learning interventions that facilitate application of learning in the workplace as measured by documents developed, participant feedback, and peer and supervisor observation
  • Provides educational programs and ensures the program content is consistently relevant to target audience’s job duties, based on principles of adult learners
  • Demonstrates positive and effective interpersonal skills when dealing with patients/families, visitors, peers, and other healthcare team members
  • Creates opportunities for CNE and/or CME obtainment
  • Individualizes orientee’s initial orientation plan based on orientee’s identified learning needs as indicated
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and leaders across the system regarding the preceptor program
  • Prioritizes and delegates effectively as evidenced by completion of required activities within designated timelines with minimal supervision
  • Manages and/or supports affiliation relationships with various schools of nursing or allied health entities



  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
  • RN license from the State of Texas Board of Nurse Examiners required
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association within two months of entering position and maintained thereafter
  • BLS-I certification from the American Heart Association required
  • 3 years of clinical nursing experience and/or Department of Rehabilitative Services experience required
  • Experience with powerpoints and dynamic presentation skills highly preferred
