We are searching for an Assistant Director of Member Transportation ­­– someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will design, implement, oversee and monitor non-emergent medical transportation program for health plan members. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Government Program's department and the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to establish this program.

Responsibilities :

  • Plans, designs, develops, organizes, directs and implements a coordinated approach to
  • transportation services in a manner that meet all HHSC contract and regulatory requirements
  • Develops an infrastructure to ensure all HHSC Contract requirements are met
  • Ensures all aspects of transportation benefits are integrated with health plan operations
  • Creates and maintains policies, procedures, workflows and service level agreements for all processes performed operations, ensuring all departments have clear understanding of cross department and vendor collaboration required for transportation program success
  • Provides an infrastructure for strong Vendor oversight and actively participate in Vender Oversight Committee
  • Creates performance metrics and dashboards to ensure accountability and transparency of Vendor performance; escalate areas of risk and non-performance by Vendor
  • Leads and participates in Quality and Service Improvement activities


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, public health, nursing or related field required
  • 5 years' Project management and/or transportation logistics in a health care or managed care organization.
  • 2 years' of supervisory experience required
  • A Master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience
