Summary:

We are searching for a Director of Security Services -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will direct the security services functions at assigned facilities. You will lead and oversee efficient and cost-effective delivery of security services across the system, including safeguarding the organizations assets, employees, patients, and visitors. This role also provides outstanding customer service, develops strong relationships with executives, directors and all other leadership positions across the organization, identifies and resolves problems quickly and appropriately through collaboration, and ensures communication is maximized.

Responsibilities :

  • Provides strategic leadership and accountability for facility assets including campuses, buildings and infrastructure, facilities projects, physical and personnel security, parking, shuttle services mail services
  • Directs the Security Services functions ensuring all key processes are aligned with the goals and objectives of the organization. This includes management of the Mission Control/Service Response Center operation
  • Directs and manages the Parking, Valet Parking, Shuttle Services, Transportation and Commuter Solutions functions in accordance with professional standards, state, local laws, and regulations
  • Establishes Security priorities, defining roles and responsibilities, building capacity, and creating systems of accountability to ensure a safe and secure environment for all patients, visitors, and staff
  • Manages the Safety functions, which includes regulatory compliance with state, local and national providers ensuring all key processes are aligned with the goals and objectives of the organization
  • Develops and grows the competencies of the Security Services management team through team development, implementation, and support of the specific training for the various responsibilities


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law enforcement or related field required
  • Master’s degree in business administration, healthcare, or related technical field (preferred)
  • 5 years’ management experience in a healthcare organization required
  • 4 years’ progressive leadership experience in a large healthcare organization preferred
  • Certified Protection Professional certification issued by the American Society for Industrial Security preferred
  • Certified Healthcare Safety Professional certification issued by the International Board for Certification for Safety Managers preferred
  • Certified Healthcare Protection Admin certification issued by the International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety preferred
