Summary:

We are searching for an Assistant Vice President/Vice President – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide leadership and management of assigned departments within the Facilities Operations division.   You will provide leadership support to the departments of Facilities Engineering, Environmental Services & Sustainability and Environment of Care/Life Safety and support as needed to Security Services & Supply Chain.  You will provide guidance and develop staff accountabilities to ensure that all operations, maintenance, environmental services, and regulatory compliance activities are completed on time, within budget, of appropriate quality and in support of the organization's goals, standards, objectives and priorities.

Responsibilities :

  • Assists in the operation, maintenance and repair of the physical plant and associated infrastructure including the development/management of budgets
  • Negotiates contracts with consultants and contractors for the development and completion of facility repairs or infrastructure lifecycle replacement construction projects
  • Develops, monitors and maintains standards of practice for the department to improve the quality of service provided by the department
  • Delegates staff assignments and monitors workloads to maintain optimal productivity levels.
  • Monitors progress of operations, maintenance, environmental services, energy management, and regulatory compliance activities
  • Supervises the planning and management of infrastructure project delivery and the coordination with interdisciplinary internal and external teams to guide departmental staff to overall project success
  • Ensures compliance with the CMS Conditions of Participation and The Joint Commission standards and Elements of Performance
  • Communicates with various governing agencies as required for ongoing compliance with local state, and federal agencies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Science, Facilities Management or other related field
  • MBA/MHA preferred
  • Professional license or certification in your area of study (CHFM and CHC preferred)
  • 8 years of progressive experience managing healthcare operations in a complex medical setting (hospital)
  • 4 years of formal management/leadership experience
