Summary:

We are searching for an Assistant Vice President – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide management of and leadership for the Facilities Planning & Development project management staff in the development, planning, coordination, monitoring, control, and delivery of major facility initiatives construction or renovation projects for the organization. You will provide support to the leadership of Facilities Planning & Development. You will provide guidance and develop staff accountabilities to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, of appropriate quality and in support of the organization's goals, standards, objectives and priorities.



Responsibilities :

  • Assists in facility master planning and the development/management of major facility initiative project scope and budgets
  • Negotiates contracts with consultants and contractors for the development and completion of major facility initiative construction projects
  • Develops, monitors and maintains standards of practice for the department to improve the quality of service provided by the department
  • Delegates staff assignments and monitors workloads to maintain optimal productivity levels. Monitors progress of project design and construction process
  • Supervises the planning and management of project delivery and the coordination with interdisciplinary internal and external teams to guide departmental staff to overall project success
  • Communicates with various governing agencies as required for facility projects and operations


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Science, Facilities Management or other related field
  • Professional license or certification in your area of study
  • 8 years of progressive experience managing projects and at least 4 of those years managing healthcare projects
  • 4 years of formal management/leadership experience
  • Experience on the owner's side preferred
