We are searching for a Certified Nurse Midwife ­– someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide independent midwifery services to patients but collaborates with the attending physician and interdisciplinary health team.

This position is all inpatient. Shifts are 12 hour shifts working days and nights. Schedule is 10 shifts per month. 

Responsibilities :

  • Develops and maintains a caseload of patients based on practice goals and objectives.
  • Provides direct clinical services and management of mothers and babies as defined in the Nurse Midwife Collaborative Guidelines of the practice.
  • Obtains patient health histories and completes physical examinations. Documents findings noting pertinent normal and abnormal findings.
  • Explains the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of procedure(s) to patient, family and staff.
  • Demonstrates responsibility for professional practice through active participation in professional organizations and continuing education.


  • Graduation from a school of midwifery required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
  • RN - Lic-Registered Nurse by the Texas Board of Nursing
  • CNM - Cert-Certified Nurse-Midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board
  • APN - Lic-Registered Nurses - APN Texas Board of Nursing preferred
  • ACLS - Cert-Adv Cardiac LS ACLS American Heart Association preferred
  • NRP - Cert-Neonatal Resuscitation Prog American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association preferred
  • 5 years of midwife experience preferred
