Summary:

We are searching for a Director of Marketing and Communications -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing marketing programs, initiatives, special projects, and events. This position will report to the SVP of Marketing, PR and Philanthropy and will work with our internal creative team, outside agencies, and vendor partners. You will also lead a team to develop and implement strategic and well-integrated marketing campaigns to increase awareness and consideration among providers, members, and the community to ensure member retention. This role also coordinates marketing/communication strategies for all areas of the health plan to assure consistency of messages and brand identity.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead a team to create and implement innovative and effective sales and marketing programs to drive traffic and increase revenues and profit margins
  • Develop and manage system-wide marketing programs and promotional activities
  • Ensures compliance with all HHSC requirements and standards related to marketing and communications
  • Coordinates the development of all member and provider materials (newsletters, handbooks, targeted marketing information, and general educational material) to facilitate accurate information and compliance with HHSC contract, Texas Department of Insurance, and all other state and federal regulations
  • Develops and manages annual department budgets for marketing/customer service functions and manages functions to ensure compliance within budget
  • Manage online strategies to include website and content development, online promotions, and optimization
  • Assist with managing the production of TV, radio, and digital advertising
  • Foster, develop, and maintain relationships between marketing, operations, training, and other departments

 



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 7 years’ experience in marketing/communication field required
  • 3 years’ leadership experience required
  • HMO or MCO experience strongly preferred
