Summary:

We are searching for a Business Application Analyst - Innovation & Process Automation - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible for understanding the business and business requirements in relation to applications, reporting, and processes. This role works with the business to clarify requests and interpret needs. The job also includes significant or complex system configuration, report design, data analysis and issues resolution.

 

This role will be under our department of Entrepreneurship & Innovation focused on a variety of projects that support technical innovation and intelligent process automation. The ideal candidate for this position will be someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills. This role will be responsible for gathering business requirements and managing projects from conception to delivery. Previous experience as a Business Analyst or some technical or IT/IS experience will be a plus.

Responsibilities :

  • Supports business staff with application questions and issues
  • Researches and resolves data issues and workflow process errors and updates system(s) as necessary
  • Analyzes use of existing systems to identify and resolve problems
  • Assists in planning and coordination of application upgrades and releases, including development and execution of some test cases
  • Performs business, configuration, and process analysis and identifies improvements
  • Assists with the development of configuration standards and best practices. Handles special projects and demonstrates ability to meet deadlines
  • Adheres to IS policies, procedures and quality of service levels
  • Adheres to the Health Plans agile/workload management processes and participates in daily team stand-up meetings


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 4 years’ experience in information systems required
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry in general and specifically of the health insurance environment is preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, or healthcare administration may substitute for 4 years of experience
