Summary:
We are searching for a Laboratory Systems Analyst II--(Epic Beaker) someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will manage all phases of a system implementation or upgrade projects as well as production services. Members also participate in reviewing and recommending improvements to system use for operations or process control. Analysts are also involved in assessment and modification of systems configuration, testing, debugging, and documenting changes to applications. Additional responsibilities include consultation with customers, workflow assessment relative to system use, administration, documentation, and quality assurance related to application deployment and use.
Highly Prefer Epic Beaker experience
Epic Beaker Certification and experience with Beaker CP and/or Beaker AP preferred
Strongly desire experience with Data Innovations

Responsibilities :
Provide consultation and direction to end users (EU) and departmental leadership on workflow design and revision, process improvement, quality and safety that can be realized with appropriate implementation of LIS functionality
Perform maintenance and modification of system configuration as needed to address vendor releases of “patches” or other updates to LIS applications
Review and validate requests for new laboratory order build in Epic. Ensure conformance to policy regarding syntax, test naming, etc.
Assist Epic staff with application configuration, Epic-LIS interface design, and maintenance and laboratory orders and results reporting within the institutional electronic health record (EHR)
Prepare written reports and manage meetings related to Pathology LIS projects
Use report writing tools, and where necessary SQL or other programming languages to extract and format data from LISs needed for quality, operational and other purposes within Pathology
Provide support for the range of peripheral devices used in conjunction with the full range of applications used within Pathology for clinical computing
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, nursing, biology, medical laboratory technology, or other healthcare general studies field required
5 years’ experience in information systems management required
Knowledge of contemporary health care operations, particularly in the area of Pathology practice; integration of Pathology LIS with electronic health records, analytical instrument interfaces, and standard healthcare software
Knowledge and experience with the Epic EHR product
