We are looking for a Senior Benefits Consultant (Retirement)– someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will administer and manage benefits programs and policies. You will also assist in the plan design of employee benefit plans and programs while ensuring regulatory compliance, targeted and meaningful communication, and cost effectiveness for both employees and our organization.

Responsibilities :

  • Benchmarks programs to support overall Total Rewards strategy
  • Manages RFP/RFI process, working closely with consultant partners
  • Develops business case to support program enhancements and/or new program offerings
  • Maintains strong working relationship with consultant partners
  • Prepares presentation materials for Pension and/or Benefits Committee
  • Works closely with Total Rewards leadership in strategy development
  • Maintains plan documents, audits, testing, 5500’s, plan financials, and budgets
  • Ensures plan compliance and serves as regulatory subject matter expert, working closely with legal and outside counsel, as needed
  • Develops process and workflow efficiencies, both internally and with external partners
  • Ensures administrative operational efficiencies with vendor partners and oversees performance guarantees
  • Responsible for contracts, renewals and agreements with vendor partners
  • Provides plan reporting and utilization metrics
  • Oversees required and strategic communication plan, including development of retirement section of New Employee Orientation
  • Provides guidance and direction to Benefits Support Analyst and other team members, as needed
  • Resolves escalated employee issues, as needed
  • Annual Enrollment
  • Employee Recognition Ceremony (ERC)
  • Other projects as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related discipline required
  • 3 years of benefits experience required
  • The ability to analyze data, problem-solve, interact professionally with employees of all levels, to competently utilize computer word processing and spreadsheet programs, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills are required
  • 5+ years of benefits retirement experience strongly preferred
